Frequently Asked Questions
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer free 30-minute phone consultations, (847) 875-2903. We can discuss the project and goals. Most of my projects take me 4-6 hours. My hourly prices hourly are competitive but I’m quick and a lot of the “projects” cost less than my competition.
My prices also include a donation delivery and a 6-month check-up.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For first time customers, we have a phone conversation first to find out what your needs are, the timeline, and the budget. I work hard to make this process less overwhelming and it starts with getting to know my customer first!!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was in Corporate America for 29+ years and worked on projects my whole career. This skill is my passion because I’m a planner!
How did you get started doing this type of work?
To be honest, I was like you 10+ years ago. I had a lot of clutter, was overwhelmed and didn’t know where to start. Once I “had a place for everything”, I started sharing how I did this with family and friends, as a side gig. After I left Corporate America, I turned this into my full-time job and I’ve never been happier. It’s the most rewarding job I’ve ever had!
What types of customers have you worked with?
I’ve worked with all types of customers, ranging from 20’s to 90 years old.
I love working with anyone who is ready to “find a place for everything” and declutter their homes!
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I’ve helped declutter all rooms in the house and office. This includes closets, kitchens, laundry rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, attics, offices, craft rooms, basements, garages, sheds, and even office warehouses. I even offer virtual decluttering.
I just finished an office, that took me around 7 hours. My client had things everywhere and she didn’t know where anything was, which made her less productive, stressed, and anxious. I just checked in with her, and she’s so happy she had me help. She feels like she’s ready to conquer the world!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask questions, get to know your organizer and how they work. The more that is discussed, the better the process is for all! I’m all about communications and setting expectations.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
What’s your timeline, budget, priorities? Are you really ready to declutter? Decluttering a very overwhelming task but if you have the right person helping you, it becomes more of an investment instead of a cost. (This is an actual quote from my customers)
